Old Manali is a neighborhood unfazed by its daily onslaught of outsiders. On streets crowded with tourists, down winding alleys and walkways, in buildings dating back three hundred years or more, residents live life, and tradesmen practice their crafts, much as they have since long before Manali was ‘discovered’ by holiday makers. I had the pleasure of spending a week getting to know and photographing the people of Old Manali. Thanks goes to Adriana Zehbrauskas for her guidance, encouragement, support, and overall butt kicking while I worked on this project.
A really evocative set of images.

Perfect shots, Dave, you keep getting better and better. You are a true professional photographer who captures not only the images, but the souls of the places, people, and even the cow!!! ;)

Kavey - Thanks. It's great place and I hope to go back and spend some more time. I'll post some additional images soon.
Rasa - More cows to come!
