We stumbled into Mardin not really knowing what to expect. We knew it was a 'historic' town, set dramatically on a hilltop, crowned by a 14th century castle, but once you've seen that..what is there?

I know what you're thinking - trade in the mountain bike and get yourself a donkey. Word of caution, it is not going to be happy hanging upside down from it's feet in your garage.
